 Last month we went down to Naples, FL for my cousin Tiffany & Chris' Wedding. This was Jody & I 1st time to ever go to Florida.  It was very  pretty but quite hot & muggy in June!  I wanted to share a few photos from our trip.   Pictures below are from Naples Botanical Gardens, Everglade Swamp Air boat tour, Beach Sunsets, Tin City, and Tiff's wedding.   - Enjoy

1st ever playoff series victory in OKC Thunder History- Playoffs 2011

What can you say after that.....Unthinkable? Unbelievable? Astonishing? Surreal!!!!
The crowd in the last 3 minutes, so loud we couldn’t even hear the announcers in the arena last night!

We just watched one of those games where you’ll be talking to a friend in 25 years and say, “How about that Game 5 against Denver where Durant scored 41?” We just watched a amazing moment, the type of thing that you can only hope happens to your team. It’s the type of thing we all dreamed about when we got the NBA three years ago.

Recap: The Thunder down 9 with a little more than three minutes left. It felt like Game 4 all over again. The team was out of sync the entire night offensively and was barely in it because of the free throw line. The Nuggets offense was working well and they were hitting shots. They had the Thunder stunned and hanging on to the ropes. This series was about to be packed up and back to Denver for a Game 6. And things were about to get really scary. My thoughts were, We can’t lose at home, we just can’t!  Come on KD make a move, and he did.  Thanks to KD he saved our game! 
Kevin Durant scored 16 of his 41 in the fourth quarter, including the Thunder’s last nine to carry us to our first playoff win, 100-97 in five games over the Nuggets.  The best game I have ever attended in my life- Thunder UP!

 The Crazy Thunder Fan that is always notorious for his megaphone, costume, and usually no shirt!  This guy always cracks me up he and is usually on TV!

Celebrating our 1st

Yesterday we celebrated our anniversary with a nice relaxing dinner out at the lake- such a great time.  Thank you everyone for all the cards, messages, texts, & phone calls.  Were very blessed.

Southern Cooking

My mom and I got the opportunity to meet Trisha Yearwood Saturday and that was a wonderful early b-day present to my Mom.  I won't tell you how long we had to stand in line to meet her and get her personal autograph but my Mom thought it was worth the wait and that is all that matters.  Trisha was in OKC this weekend signing her new cook book, Home Cooking with Trisha Yearwood. She was at Sams with her mother & sister, who also co-wrote the cookbook.

Patio Bliss

We just got our new patio set, which I am so excited about and last night we officially had our 1st dinner outside!  Jody got to stay in town for the day and to my surprise when I got home, he was making dinner- YES!!!  He likes grilling out more and more each weekend.   It was a great evening & such beautiful weather  :)

What you talkin bout Willis?

I'm deathly afraid of heights. I'm not sure when it started, but have been most of my life. While in Chicago last week we visited the SkyDeck of Willis Tower on the 103rd floor (formerly known as Sears Tower). I am happy to say I accomplished something huge. I never would have thought I'd be able to go out onto the glass SkyDeck ledges in my life, but we both did it.  I did panic for a second and let Jody go first- my hands and feet were sweating big time.  After I realized he didn’t fall thru the glass-bottom ledge.  I sat down on my rear and slid out backwards not looking back.

I have to say, I'm very proud of myself for doing it. It was one of the most audacious things I've done in my life!

Two of the funniest people are on their way to The Oprah Show together—Steve Carell and Tina Fey! Plus, Tracy Morgan and the unstoppable Betty White.
This is the tapping we attended on Saturday.   This show airs on Tuesday, April 6th.  So tune in, who knows- you just might see us?

"Chi-Town"- Here We Come...

We fly out tomorrow morning and will be there till Sunday. We are staying downtown off Michigan Avenue (AKA- Magnificent Mile). Our plans include Navy Pier, Millennium Park, Wrigley Field, Deep Dish Pizza, Willis Tower, and last but not least…The Oprah Winfrey Show. The taping is on Saturday, April 3. Before the show we will be seeing the movie Date Night, starring Steve Carell and Tina Fey. We will board buses at 7:30 AM- (Yikes that’s early) to go to the movie theater and later come back to the studio for the taping. Steve Carell and Tina Fey are on the show that day. I will let you know when it is supposed to air on TV.

I am really excited for our trip to Chicago. Jody and I have not been on vacation since our Honeymoon, so we’re really looking forward to getting away and spending time together. I will take tons of pictures and post about our fun trip once we return!

I have always been a huge fan of the Oprah Show and I have always begged Jody to take me to see it. This year it has been more important since she is taping her last season and going off the air. We have been trying to get tickets for a while now, which is not the easiest thing to get since the demand for reservations far exceed the supply. The process takes patients since you have to submit a request during a one day window that occurs only a few times each year. Last month I was excited to get our names submitted for the slightest chance to be picked for tickets in the lottery system. Good news came from that request. Yesterday Jody emailed me that our reservation request has been selected ! I was at work when I read the email and started jumping up and down screaming! :) Everyone was startled by my excitement, but everyone is thrilled for me since they know what a huge fan I am. We fly to Chicago at the end of March and the taping is on March 31st! I can't wait!!

Jody and I went to see Jamie Foxx here in OKC. It was a good time, but i was somewhat disappointed. It wasn't quite what I had expected. I was hoping he would also do some comedy during the show, but he just sang, which sounded great once they fixed his sound, but he did several remixes with a live band so it just sounded different.
We sure can't complain about the interesting people we saw that night. Even the comedian who opened the show went on and on about how everyone dressed to come out to the show- it was very entertaining. I still love Jamie Foxx and had a great night.

I Found Nemo...

A few weeks ago we went on our annual river trip to float the Illinois River near Tahlequah, OK. It got up to 104 deg. there, which was a very hot weekend but lots of fun! On the way home from our weekend of fun we stopped in the town of Jenks and went threw the OK Aquarium. I was unaware that Oklahoma had an aquarium but was quite impressed with it. (Jenks is on the outskirts of Tulsa)
The Aquarium has several galleries from Fishes of Oklahoma, Shark Exhibit, to oceanic saltwater fish and creatures. We even got to feed the turtles, pet stingrays, and walk through a tunnel that allows you to see the largest bull sharks in captivity swimming alongside and right over your head! Pretty cool place to check out if your ever in the area!

A Camping we will go!

I requested to go camping for my birthday, so memorial day weekend we went to Roman Nose State Park, located North of the town Watonga, OK. There are two lakes here, Lake Boecher & Lake Watonga and they are both very small. On Lake Watonga there were a few boats out (I mean 2) and lots of canoes and this is the larger lake. Ha, ha!
We went canoeing, played putt putt golf, (where I got 2 hole in-ones and Jody still beat me!) swam in some natural springs and creeks, and walked threw some trails. The weather was beautiful and we had a nice relaxing weekend.

Our Campsite was close to the beaver dam and also where some teepees were set up. They are pretty cool, you can actually Rent-a-Tepee for the night, I think thats realy neat.
