Happy Anniversary!

Today we celebrate 2 years!  I love you Jody Dale

Today Jody & I hosted lunch for our Mommas & Grandma Anita.  I was very excited to use our china for the 1st time.  Our dishes are very special, because my Grammy Reid gave them to me, since she no longer uses them and had several sets. I remember using them at my Grammy's house on special holidays growing up.  Our table looked so beautiful!

Yesterday we celebrated our anniversary with a nice relaxing dinner out at the lake- such a great time.  Thank you everyone for all the cards, messages, texts, & phone calls.  Were very blessed.

The lights in OKC

One of my favorite things to do in December is to drive around and look at Christmas lights. A few weeks ago we picked up Jody's Mom and hit the town. We drove threw Nichols Hills and down by Chesapeake on Western. We saw some great displays and had fun!

Winter Wonder Land

Well we sure are getting winter this December! Right now we still have tons of snow on the ground and are supposed to get more the next few days! Here are some snow pics from "The Blizzard of 09"

A Camping we will go!

I requested to go camping for my birthday, so memorial day weekend we went to Roman Nose State Park, located North of the town Watonga, OK. There are two lakes here, Lake Boecher & Lake Watonga and they are both very small. On Lake Watonga there were a few boats out (I mean 2) and lots of canoes and this is the larger lake. Ha, ha!
We went canoeing, played putt putt golf, (where I got 2 hole in-ones and Jody still beat me!) swam in some natural springs and creeks, and walked threw some trails. The weather was beautiful and we had a nice relaxing weekend.

Our Campsite was close to the beaver dam and also where some teepees were set up. They are pretty cool, you can actually Rent-a-Tepee for the night, I think thats realy neat.

Leaving Roman Nose

We are very excited about our honeymoon! We left this morning from Dallas airport at 6:00AM and will arrive in Antigua and Barbuda at 2:00pm (1:00 Central Time) Will be back in Oklahoma City sometime on Monday, May 4th. We would like to thank everyone who came to our wedding, it was wonderful to see you and we feel truly blessed to have so many family members and friends there with us to celebrate our new life together as husband and wife. We will post lots of pictures once we return. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we travel.

Christmas in January

We got some great gifts this Christmas- Thank you to everyone :)

My mom came down last weekend and we finally got to do Christmas with her. I think this was the 2nd Christmas ever I haven't spent with her in 28 years, so it was nice to see her. My favorite gift was a waffle maker and $ is always nice. Jody's favorite was a best buy gift card. Thanks mom!
My mom's favorite gift was her GPS that all 4 of us got her, she loves it.

After exchanging gifts Jody, Mom, and I went to pearls where we ordered alligator tales for the 1st time. I have tried fried alligator before, but never grilled. The appetizer they serve is a combo, both fried and grilled. I like the fried more- of course, the grilled was a bit too spicy for me. I urge anyone to try it, you might like it too.
Ooooh ....what does it taste like you ask?
Alligator meat may not be exactly the same flavor and texture as chicken, it is quite similar!

Christmas in the Park

On our drive back from Christmas at the Shepherd's in Clinton, we stopped in Yukon, OK. We drove through the illuminated, self-guided drive-through tour of more than one million twinkling lights. The display of lights were displayed at the city park with several decorative displays, and classic Christmas music playing outside. It worked out well that we got to see this light display. I really wanted to go to the Festival of Lights in Chickasha, but it's a 45 minute drive. It is one of the top 10 nationally rated Christmas light displays - there is always next year!

Merry Christmas to everyone

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. We had a very nice Christmas.

My mom stopped by on her way to Houston and spent the night and dropped off some presents and lots of sweet goodies! We will do Christmas with her when she returns.

We celebrated with Jody's mom's family on Christmas Day this year. We had some great food and a good time with everyone! We played the game scene it 2 and another game we can't remember, they were both fun.

Sunday we drove to Clinton and did Christmas with Jody's dad's family at his grandparents house. We had diner and played games also. This side of the family is quite large! I believe there we about 20 of us there, they get real rowdy.

Saturday night Jody agreed to go with Alisha, Millie, and I to see THE NUTCRACKER. I can't believe he said he would go. He is so great!

The the OKC Ballet Company put on the show this year for the 1st time at the Civic Center Music Hall, downtown. It was a good show and I enjoyed it epically the orchestra!
