Funny People: Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Betty White and Tracy Morgan

Two of the funniest people are on their way to The Oprah Show together—Steve Carell and Tina Fey! Plus, Tracy Morgan and the unstoppable Betty White.
This is the tapping we attended on Saturday.   This show airs on Tuesday, April 6th.  So tune in, who knows- you just might see us?

"Chi-Town"- Here We Come...

We fly out tomorrow morning and will be there till Sunday. We are staying downtown off Michigan Avenue (AKA- Magnificent Mile). Our plans include Navy Pier, Millennium Park, Wrigley Field, Deep Dish Pizza, Willis Tower, and last but not least…The Oprah Winfrey Show. The taping is on Saturday, April 3. Before the show we will be seeing the movie Date Night, starring Steve Carell and Tina Fey. We will board buses at 7:30 AM- (Yikes that’s early) to go to the movie theater and later come back to the studio for the taping. Steve Carell and Tina Fey are on the show that day. I will let you know when it is supposed to air on TV.

I am really excited for our trip to Chicago. Jody and I have not been on vacation since our Honeymoon, so we’re really looking forward to getting away and spending time together. I will take tons of pictures and post about our fun trip once we return!

So, we got a new camera last month and I have not been able to blog b/c I couldn't find the cord to get all the photos off our camera to put on our blog, but today I finally found it in the most likely place in the camera box! Duh- So anyways were back.

Last month over 4th of July I went to visit my Mom for the day while Jody was working in Clinton and I feel like I went back into time and relived my grandparents and parents era. We visited The Route 66 Museum in Elk City. Which had 4 different buildings. We took lots of pictures too!

All the Museums contained compelling exhibits and gave a good overview of the famous highway with antiques, cars, murals, and interesting information.

I Found Nemo...

A few weeks ago we went on our annual river trip to float the Illinois River near Tahlequah, OK. It got up to 104 deg. there, which was a very hot weekend but lots of fun! On the way home from our weekend of fun we stopped in the town of Jenks and went threw the OK Aquarium. I was unaware that Oklahoma had an aquarium but was quite impressed with it. (Jenks is on the outskirts of Tulsa)
The Aquarium has several galleries from Fishes of Oklahoma, Shark Exhibit, to oceanic saltwater fish and creatures. We even got to feed the turtles, pet stingrays, and walk through a tunnel that allows you to see the largest bull sharks in captivity swimming alongside and right over your head! Pretty cool place to check out if your ever in the area!

A Camping we will go!

I requested to go camping for my birthday, so memorial day weekend we went to Roman Nose State Park, located North of the town Watonga, OK. There are two lakes here, Lake Boecher & Lake Watonga and they are both very small. On Lake Watonga there were a few boats out (I mean 2) and lots of canoes and this is the larger lake. Ha, ha!
We went canoeing, played putt putt golf, (where I got 2 hole in-ones and Jody still beat me!) swam in some natural springs and creeks, and walked threw some trails. The weather was beautiful and we had a nice relaxing weekend.

Our Campsite was close to the beaver dam and also where some teepees were set up. They are pretty cool, you can actually Rent-a-Tepee for the night, I think thats realy neat.

Girls Weekend!

What a Blast we had! A few girlfriends and I went to South Padre for the weekend and had so much fun!!! Carrie made shirts for us to wear out Saturday night. We got to lay out on the beach and play in the ocean all day Friday and most of Saturday.... The weather was perfect! We all got a lot of sun and I am still peeling on my arms and shoulders, which a I rarely experience, but well worth it. I am happy that I will have a good base tan started for when we go to Antigua. :)

Parasailing in Padre...

We had way too much fun!!!


The girls and I who went to South Padre, TX with me last weekend got to go parasailing for the 1st time. I must say I was a bit scared at first, but as soon as we were in the air I loved every minute of it! I am so glad we went it was so neat!!! I will definitely go again.

Weekend Away

Earlier this month we went to Dallas to go see the Pittsburgh Penguins play the Dallas Stars. (The tickets were a surprise to Jody from Valentines). This was my very 1st professional hockey game and this was Jodys 1st time to see the Penguins play in person. (they are his favorite hockey team) We were slightly disappointed that their best player was injured, Sidney Crosby but it was still worth the trip.
We stayed at a really nice place courtesy of Jody's travels since he has several points and we ate at some great places. One place called Mama's Daughter's was a homemade diner that made everything from scratch and it was so yummy. I had the best diner roll I have ever ate here. The menu said that the restaurant has been featured in Southern cooking and Paula Dean's magazine several times. (I figured my mom would love that)

The other place we ate at was a steak house called YO Ranch Steakhouse, where they serve Smoked Baked Potatoes. Have you ever heard of that? Well let me tell you it was the best baked potato we have ever ate. We bragged about them our entire meal. It was delicious! As Jody would say, "Dallas has some good eaten places"! Feeding The Wild

If you have never fed wild animals at a zoo, you should if you get the opportunity, its quite humorous!

A few weekends ago we went to Arbuckle Wilderness, which is about an hour south of OKC. It was crazy! The animals will steal your feeding bucket or rob you of all your food! I think I got more food in Jody's car than I fed to the animals. I remember a camel snuck up on me while I wasn't paying attention, when I turned to look out the window and he was in my face and we were touching noses- AHHH! Thats how most of my food flew all over the car. He scared the crud out of me. (Ha-ha-ha) We had a lot of fun and were all quite amused!
