laundry buddies

So I came home one Sunday from the store to find Jody doing laundry and I thought how sweet! Once I got closer I noticed it all spread out on the floor and thought what the heck? I see the cat involved with the laundry kicking and playing with all the soxs on the floor. Every sock Jody balled up he threw to Kinsler and the cat went crazy kicking the sox all over the place, - he had a blast playing. He meowed a lot after we picked them up and took them away- the fun was over. He's so much like a kid, he's preparing us to be parents, but not anytime soon ;) I noticed my sports bra on Jody's head....LOL He is such a little kid inside too, but I could't help but laugh and take his picture!

That saying is so true: "Men are little kids, in grown up bodies!"

Pet Photo Shoot with the Pet Lovers

Kinsler was the worlds bravest cat yesterday! He took his picture with 6 other dogs for the Free To live Calendar. Our cat has never been around a dog before, I thought he did quite well being around 6 of them. He did the normal hair frizz, some hissing, and growling, but was quite calm for the most part.

Free To Live is a non-profit sanctuary for stray, mistreated, and abandoned cats and dogs. It is also the largest no-kill sanctuary in Oklahoma.

Kinsler the Kitty has started a new habit of siting in the window and waiting for me to come home from work. He looks a bit grouchy in this picture or maybe he's deep in thought.
I caught him here in the window several times this week...its quite funny to see him there since he just started doing this! So I thought I would take a picture and share it.

Sinking

This morning I had someone helping me get ready. Kinsler, he found the bathroom sink and had a lot of fun playing in it today. He practically attacked everything I pulled out of my makeup bag! It was pretty funny.
I just can't help but love him, cause he is so cute!

O' christmas tree

Our tree is up! We put it up Thanksgiving night, since Jody had to leave the next day, we had to get a move on it. We actually bought our tree last year at Target the day after Christmas when they had all the mark downs. So this is essentially our 1st time to see what it truly looks like. I love our tree. We still need to get a tree topper, but I really like all the ornaments we picked out. Our kitty Kinsler loves it also, maybe too much. He like to knock off the ornaments and eat the tree, so lately all the ornaments are hung much higher and we have a wall of presents blocking him from getting to the tree. He is smart enough to knock them down if he really wants to though.

We got a kitty!!!

Our new cat's name is Kinsler. I like to call him "Kinny". We named him after Jody's favorite baseball player Ian Kinsler who plays for the Texas Rangers. We have had him for a few weeks and is now 12 weeks old and so much fun. We adopted him from a pet shelter. He likes to sleep, meow, and is also very playful. I was nervous at first, because he was shy around anyone except for me. He hid under the bed when anyone came over, but now, after having my family in town for the weekend he is a real people person and he really likes Jody!
