On the way to the OU game we went to Choctaw to eat at a very good German Restaurant. This was Jody's b-day lunch, so he was happy! Here is a bit of history about the place.... In March 1976 with little left to lose but our last $300, my family opened Old Germany Restaurant in Choctaw, OK. Our limited menu included the usual fast foods and one German dish--Wiener Schnitzel. It took time to convince people that German food was more than just sausages and sauerkraut and eventually our menu changed to all German Cuisine. The original little restaurant is nestled between two additions and seating has more than tripled. To complement your meal, we offer a selection of German beers and wines and we feature some fine desserts from La Baguette.
