Today we visited the Boulevard Brewing Company. Boulevard has grown to become the largest specialty brewer in the Midwest. Founder John McDonald delivered the first Boulevard Pale Ale keg in the back of his pickup truck in 1989. On our tour we got to see a video of the plant in action, take a walking tour threw the plant, and learn the history.
We also got the chance to sample all the different beers that they brew: Pale Ale, Unfiltered Wheat Beer, Bully Porter, and Dry Stout. They also make seasonal beers: Irish Ale -spring, ZŌN -summer, Bob’s ’47 -fall, and Nutcracker Ale -winter.
